My other problem with this story is that all the men are supposedly tough ex-gang members, but they neither act nor speak like men at all and their entire lives seem to revolve around the women and talking about their feelings constantly.

Better editing would have caught a lot of these things, I think. Honestly, stuff like this is just so glaringly stupid it yanks you out of the story and prevents immersion. Apparently in his bathroom there is no such thing as toilet paper. Apparently feeling the need to take off his silk tie to clean her up after sex because the paper towels were too rough in the bathroom. It would be a stupid reaction from anyone, but for a woman who has supposedly already given birth to a baby? And the hero is just as bad.

Possibly the lowest point of the story is during a steamy make-out session when she actually bursts into tears because she sees his penis for the first time and thinks it is too large and won't fit. But then it quickly changed into constant tears and weakness, with the hero having to literally pick her up and carry her every few minutes while she cries into his chest, which is tiresome. I hate weak female characters and this began with such promise, with an upbeat heroine who had been through a personal tragedy and yet somehow remained sunny and happy. Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not? I barely stopped smiling throughout the entire book, definitely worth a credit or buy! The first word that comes to mind when I think of this book is adorable, although I usually enjoy a good steamy romance I enjoyed the banter and interactions between the characters so much that I couldn't have cared less about the steamy parts (although I did enjoy those parts as well). The male narrator did a great job as well! This book made me laugh out loud so many times and tear up also. I absolutely loved it though, she is incredibly humorous and brings out the best in Nick.

Tina is super peppy and positive most of the time despite terrible emotional scars and trauma, and let's face it, she's kind of a ditzy goofball.

Thankfully I didn't! At first the female narrator irritated the snot out of me, she's incredibly peppy and sounds ditzy as all get out but then I realized she was PERFECT for Tina. To be perfectly honest within the first 15 minutes of listening to this book I was about to give up on it.
